Marin Science Seminar Presentation: “Space Exploration with NASA-AMES” Mr. Ramos will tell about his training, career and his experience as an aerospace engineer at NASA-Ames. Models of spacecraft will be available for students to examine in this interactive presentation to take place in TL's Studio Theater. (October 22, 2008)
Mr. Ramos's area of expertise is designing communications systems for space projects. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas El Paso and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He worked for ten years at NASA-Ames as a communications systems engineer for the Pioneer Project. He also worked six years there on the Space Infrared Telescope Facility, two years on the Mars Environmental Survey Project, and four years managing all life sciences and research contracts.
