Welcome to the world of medical simulation! Medical practitioners at the VAMC San Francisco learn how to perform a variety of procedures, from CPR to cardiac surgery, using life-like robotic simulations. Rich Fidler and Abi Fitzgerald will tell us about their work at the Simulation Center and will bring several robots to show and share.

Abi Fitzgerald is an RN and recently completed her MSN at San Francisco State University with a focus in adult acute care. She is currently completing a one year fellowship in advanced clinical simulation at the SFVA which includes practicing one day a week in the emergency department. Abi is also a wilderness first responder and volunteers with Bay Area Mountain Rescue.
